It's the best deal on this in over a year, but before Covid art went as low as $432. They added $100 to the base price end/2022.

You just compared a restaurant-grade personal oven to a meal subscription reheating device. I honestly can't tell if you're trolling.

I just this daily and it's my favorite oven. I have a ge monogram double oven and a breville joule oven. But the anova is the one that gets used the most by far.

If you make (or plan to make) sourdough:

1) this preset (ttps://oven.anovaculinary.com/recipe/aD5LEs0haggm2NaLQidW)
2) with the anova x baking steel (https://bakingsteel.com/products/...king-steel)
3) and this perfectly wide peel (https://a.co/d/aJNOEmn)
4) and these proofers (https://a.co/d/0BX1Yle)

Have really given me consistent results and high quality bread (2x loafs per cook)

I got it on BF sale for 509 in 2021, so I doubt it'll get cheaper than this post inflation

What the fark. I didn't even know I wanted this, now I need it. My chief complaint about sous vide has been plastic waste. This looks to solve that.

I've been using this pretty much daily since it was released a couple years back and I love this oven.

It does bagless (or bagged) sous vide style cooking excellently, works as a convection and steam oven, and makes incredible breads and just about anything you throw at it.

There's a small learning curve, and it takes up a lot of counter space, but I'd buy it again in a heartbeat. I'm happy to answer questions on it if I can.

I used this oven so much I bought a second one. The value for the money is exceptional. Cooking in it daily for years. This will be the 3rd time I will cook our thanksgiving turkey in it. 16lbs take 1.5hrs.

I read through a lot of reviews on Reddit about the APO. It seems a lot of people say it reheats and steams food well, except for dumplings because it makes the edges hard since it doesn't create enough steam. But alot of them say airfrying feature is pretty meh, and would prefer a say cheapo $50 air fryer instead. Did you have any experience using it as an air fryer?

i agree airfry is meh. im disappointed with it, even when using a copper airfry basket. it also creates a HUGE mess in the oven which causes it to stink and is a PITA to clean. we had a Cuisinart air fry/toaster oven that did a much better job for airfrying. but i havent used our regular double oven since we bought the APO last Christmas

I use my apo very frequently since it launched but just bought an air fryer because it's really just a convection oven in the apo. Plus it's huge and an air fryer is much easier for smaller batches

I've had mine since they first came out, and use it daily. I just recently tried the air frier option, and it worked really well with chicken wings - nice and crispy. Wife raved about how good they were.

That being said, I would not buy this oven just for the air fry option. The steam function is what makes it unique and useful. Great at reheating leftovers without drying them out.

I've been holding off buying a second oven since I know as soon as I do Anova will release a new, improved version.
