Anyone cook salmon in this? How did it turn out?
There are a handful of recipes in the app for salmon.

Been using it for about a year now and this is an amazing oven. This is such an incredible value for what you get, but only if you like to cook and try new things. A good app with lots of really good recipes. I suggest the basque burnt cheesecake. Combi ovens are usually several thousands of dollars.

This is so much more than just a steam oven. It has a wet bulb thermometer that you usually only see on professional ovens that cost 10k+.

$500+ for oven? OMG
Seems expensive.

Is it easy to clean?
Any teardown on parts replacement?
From reviews and comment on page 1, it seems not that easy to clean and due to the steam makes the oven smelly. I wonder if you kept the oven door open, it might allow it to air dry and not smell?

Also you should use distilled water for the water tank to prevent minerals from clogging up and crystalizing. There is also descaling powder you need to buy to descale once a while like you would if you own any coffee machine.

For replacement parts, warranty is 2 years. I saw you can extend it with a 3rd party warranty during checkout for $68 for an additional 3 years. You can also buy with certain credit cards for extending warranty. Trying to break things down yourself and replace doesn't seem like a very good option.

It is a complicated piece of equipment so I assume most people would be willing to take good care of it compare to just a normal airfryer or oven. That said, I don't think I'm ready to invest in one yet for the price haha.

Massive and everyone will comment on how massive it is. Steams fish well but not worth the counter space

What the fark. I didn't even know I wanted this, now I need it. My chief complaint about sous vide has been plastic waste. This looks to solve that.
Use a zip lock and wash it out when you're done if you're that worried about saving the planet.

Hmm, Anova has a 100-day money-back guarantee. Wonder if that is worth losing the 5% from paypal.

i have this and love it. when they update it with a new version, i'm getting that one too. if you don't care about what you eat or settle with boxed meals, this probably isnt for you. people that make stuff from scratch and enjoy cooking, this is like when cordless impacts hit the tool scene.

gotta mention it's big. it's a killer of countertop space. i'll deal with that considering what it can do for my meals.

If you make (or plan to make) sourdough:

1) this preset (ttps://oven.anovaculinary.com/recipe/aD5LEs0haggm2NaLQidW)
2) with the anova x baking steel (https://bakingsteel.com/products/...king-steel)
3) and this perfectly wide peel (https://a.co/d/aJNOEmn)
4) and these proofers (https://a.co/d/0BX1Yle)

Have really given me consistent results and high quality bread (2x loafs per cook)
Pics or it never happened.

I have this as well. It's strength is cooking with humidity. It'll level up your leftovers and make killer grilled cheese. You can sous vide bagless which means you'll do it more often. I no longer use my regular oven and only use my microwave when I'm in a hurry.

Downsides are that it really gets up to about 75 percent humidity which is why you can't cook noodles and dim sum in this. This is good enough for sous vide though. The air frying function isn't great bc of the giant cavity but that's the not the purpose of this device.

I know this is a great oven, but you all should consider the tovala plus oven as well for $50 and you just need to buy 6 weeks of meals. it steams great and scans for most trader joes and other meals as well.

You just compared a restaurant-grade personal oven to a meal subscription reheating device. I honestly can't tell if you're trolling.
