Anyone else surprised to see an EUC posted on slickdeals?

I've had the Master a year now and I think it's great, for 2100 it's ideal for someone who is looking to step up from a non suspension wheel.

Much of the Electric Unicycle "community" strongly recommends going through an EUC dealer like eWheels or Alien Rides instead of Amazon. These specialized retailers have better support and I've also heard getting a solid EUC on Amazon is more of a crapshoot than eWheels or Alien Rides.

I had/have a Glide 3 (V8) that I'm pretty sure I fried when it rained and it became submerged in water. Looking to use that as an excuse to upgrade. What are the best brands/models these days? I liked the portability and agility of the Glide 3, but I want a bit more speed, and is suspension something I should prioritize considering light off-roading/trail riding?

inmotion makes the most highly polished products, begode gives the most performance per dollar. king song maybe in between the two for price and performance

get a king song with ajustible air mountain bike suspension if you want mid range performance and good shocks. get the inmotion v11 if you can handle the looks, that's selling the best on a lot of sites now bc of the good discount for a midrange wheel with shocks

As far as I know, you're not going to find a suspension wheel as "portable" or "agile" as a V8. That's something you'll have to sacrifice to get a suspension wheel. The InMotion V11 and King Song S18 are still maybe your best bets in terms of light and nimble suspension wheel, especially the S18. Even the new InMotion Adventure and King Song S16 have managed to shrink the wheel and increase the weight. Suspension is nice on your knees and smooths out the ride, but isn't entirely necessary.

If you're skipping suspension, then there are a lot of "a bit more speed" than the V8 but still light and nimble. Begode A2 comes to mind as a relatively inexpensive option.

Sweet, finally an EUC deal. I love Begode tech, I've had an EX-N for 2 years.. so awesome to ride. Learning curve is steep, but once it clicks your brain just lets you cruise.

I read one comment that said suspension requires 30min of maintenance every month, which is something I'm unwilling to do. If it was 30min every year, then that sounds more reasonable...

My main hesitation with suspension is the amount of maintenance required, and how durable it holds up, and if parts to repair worn out suspension is readily available.

That, and I have no comfort issues going off curbs with a v8 (no suspension). The most extreme thing I'd ever try is probably go down a flight of stairs, which I'm thinking might be doable with a non-suspension if inflation pressure is dialed in correctly. I'm only 180 lbs, so I don't push the weight limits of any of these rides.

But then on the other hand, hitting a pothole at 35 MPH might be more controllable with suspension...I'm like Tevye "on the other hand".

I bought a Segway scooter on sale a couple years back for $300. It was fun, but anything that is not a bike is not worth this price point. You can get an amazing e-bike for about 1k, perhaps a bit more. Even if they reduced the price in half, I would laugh.

i think this is actually a doorbuster deal for experiennced EUC person you got a ~50mph wheel, can make it cheap if you put small battery pack in it and the performance would be very similar to a bigger pack. It's kind of a "make your own deal" deal
