I bought this to use the existing bulb as motion sensor triggered. Unfortunately, to activate and use this product you need CamV3 too .
It has the feature to enable the motion sensing feature on the standard bulb but you need to connect Wyze cam V3 to activate this device. In other words, you can't activate the device without CamV3 . So, if you don't have Wyzev3 cam, you wont be able to use this device.

Isn't this the company that has had a lot of data leaks and security issues?
They had a security issue and didn't communicate it to their customers.
That being said, I still use their products (cameras and smart plugs). Prices and experience is great. I only point the cameras outside. Lights and plugs aren't tied to anything important.
I'm not saying what they did was okay. I don't trust any smart home company.

That's fair. I wouldn't put their product on my primary network with my servers / nas / private devices

Sorry, not sure what you are referring to.. would you mind elaborating on this.. in other words is this a paid feature?

So a Cam v3 would turn on the bulb any time motion is detected? Can you restrict that by time or presence of daylight?
