I have had this grill since they moved the grease catch to the back. We cook many thing including hibachi, smash burgers, and yes. . . Eggs and pancakes. This is the same price i paid black friday the year i got mine ($200) plus the cover ($50).
This price is about the best you will get unless you go used or get lucky end of summer clearance.
Despite the above posters worthless remark, the beat thing about this griddle is cooking bacon. Lots and lots of bacon. Takes all the grease and such outside and away from the stove. You can cook pounds of bacon at once. Amazing. Worth it just for bacon.

I bought this one during the end of summer sale for $269 and it was an awesome deal then. It's an even better deal now.

No, that has a hinged cover. This is comparable to the Walmart model but that has smaller btu
I believe the lower btu is actually better from what I read. They used a different material for the metal and it doesn't need as many BTU to achieve the heat on the griddle.
Any reason to get this over the hinged version? I've been waiting for that one
