Canceled my current plan and had to use a new email to set up a new account and get this deal. That worked, though! Wish they would just let you apply the promo code to your existing account.

No. Sling is the cheapest Fox News you are going to get. Wouldn't be worth $52 to me but to each their own.
Fox News jacks up the cost of cable with their ridiculous carriage fees. That's why they don't care much if advertisers boycott them. The boner pills, Relief Factor, and the My Pillow guy are not paying their bills, cable subscribers are regardless of ideology.

I'm glad I seen this on the front page. My 99ยข a month deal ends in 3 days. I forgot about it and almost got a $5.99 charge.

All these streaming services that are ad supported. What's the point? People might as well go back to cable. Only a matter of time before someone consolidates them all and then it is basically cable again.
What has happened at least for me is the cable provider now negotiates to keep you. Just always ask for the retention dept. I still subscribe to Peacock (without commercials is worth it to me) and for $1 a month, I just joined Hulu. Yes my cable is high but I hav
e.a disabled wife so she has choices while I work. We have more than we watch but the cable company will take away "freebies" before lowering price. Thus, I have multiple premium services (that give you online access for free). Finally, my total cost is $220 a month but it includes four tvs, 1 gig internet and phone service.

Because let's say I get this deal for 20 bucks a year... And the Hulu deal for 99 cents a month, plus the Disney offer for 2 bucks a month and that's all I need with an over the air antenna, plus all the free Roku channels. I've paid 56 dollars for 3 streaming services for the year, have all the network channels thru the antenna and all the hundreds of channels offered for free thru Roku. I was paying 130 a month for satellite TV.... And you know what I still had to watch thru DirecTV paying that 130 a month... Commercials.
This guy gets it.

I've done a quick scan thru their app. It just seems like they are churning old broadcast content, office, housewives, last months football games.

What do they really offer content-wise?
1. Commercial free movies, sort of. Wait through a 3 or 4 minute preroll of ads (or go to the bathroom), the movie is then ad free. Some first run, some pretty good, and some real weird movies here. For example, Ichi the Killer, in its remastered cut (pun).

2. Some live Football, including NFL. The Niners game tomorrow for example.

3. Some good original shows, like Poker Face.

4. Network news and if you care, some MSNBC.

5. Hallmark Channel.

6. SNL deep dive.

Worth 20 bucks if you are willing to work around the network cruft to find this.

Does this plan include WWE PLEs (premium live events)??
yep plus they don't stick ads in during the matches, but most ad blockers work really well on peacock.if you're watching on a computer.

looking forward to Cody getting his ass kicked this saturday

For those of you with AMEX deals for 3 credits of 5.99, you can use the remaining 2 credits for upgrading the next 2 months of ad free Peacock. But wait at least one week, because I noticed that when I did two transactions too close to each other, the second credit never came.

I'm such a noob Slickdealer sometimes. We literally just signed up for Peacock on 10/26 -- I didn't even think to wait to see if there would be BF deals on streaming service. Checked with Customer Service and they said "no go", that it's only for new Premium Service subscribers.

Ah well.. the $40 extra per year won't kill me, but it was worth a shot. I know, I could probably sign up again under a different email address, but I just don't want to rebuild all my show preferences, find where I am in series we already started, etc.

EDIT: I'm going to try cancelling the service and then have it "lapse" until the 27th, then re-sign up using this deal. Unless someone knows if it must "lapse" for some extended duration before one can use this deal.
This deal will likely be gone by then. Why not just cancel the old account and sign up with a new account and then swap the emails? Takes a few minutes of work. I was an monthly subscriber and just did that since my current sub didn't end until Dec 7.

Though, if you care about watch history or saved content, that can make things a bit more of a pain.

I had Peacock Premium. Didn't keep it because of the ads. Hallmark Channels were nice, but you couldn't DVR them, and I hate having to catch something live.

I have an Xfinity Flex box. Comcast does NOT provide Peacock Premium for free anymore unless you have a higher tier of their service.
