Ingredients
Natural Beef Bone. Filling: Beef Meal; Vegetable Glycerin; Artifical Peanut Butter Flavor; Potassium Sorbate; (Perservative)\

Beef meal is unedible beef bits. No real peanut butter. I'm not feeding my dog this.

These smell like death. Every dog I've ever seen with one LOVES them though. We call them cigs - due to appearance, their addictive qualities, and the likelihood of equal toxicity.

We try to only do the nicer PB bones that are $10 each, but they still make it around occasionally as Publix only sells this type (in a 3 pack), where Teeter sells the nicer ones.

My pup loves these. I cut these in half with a hack saw since the peanut butter center is too narrow for my dog's wide snoot.

Beef meal is just beef that has been dried and ground up. When a manufacturer lists beef meal as the #1 ingredient it is a good thing. Beef meal is weighed already dried while a manufacturer listing beef is using it's moist weight prior to drying

No, the first ingredient should be beef, chicken, lamb, fish, etc. Not anything meal. Do some research:

Any animal protein pet food ingredient that includes the word 'meal' behind it – is a rendered ingredient.

In the USDA document "Rendering, Carcass Disposal, a Comprehensive Review" rendering is defined as: "A process of using high temperature and pressure to convert whole animal and poultry carcasses or their by-products with no or very low value to safe, nutritional, and economically valuable products.
