Interesting! Is Festool becoming more flexible with discounting? Does it have something to do with Milwaukee releasing there track saw? I have the Festool 75 (need the depth of cut) and am still thinking about picking up the Milwaukee based on the positive reviews.

I actually got one on Amazon for 200 bucks a few years ago. Surprisingly works really well. I've owned a festool back in the day too so I have something to compare it too.

Is this the model with the scoring blade? Also, too bad it couldn't be ordered for less without the guide rail for those that already have all the rails they need.

The track saw patent has expired for a while now. Every major saw company now has a version of the plunge track saw, and they all work pretty well. The next patent to fall is Festool's domino.

To prevent tear out which commonly happens when cutting laminate. However, this on sale model doesn't have a scoring feature.

TSV is the scoring model I thought this was the scoring one too, the box at the leading end of the saw always makes me think the scoring model.

Looks like the only discount on the scoring model is with track:

Without and no discount

I'm a bit of a Festool whore. I have the TSC55 and the TS75 for track saws in the shop - and absolutely LOVE them. This is a heck of a deal. Some advice, for what it's worth, take a look at the Makita tracks. They work perfectly with the Festool track saws.

Is there really no difference between them? I've heard many people say Makita is "almost" as good, but lacks some sort of tilt retention tab (or something like that) and maybe not as much QC on the accuracy side. But I have 2 55" Festool tracks, and would really like a single 110", but can't bring myself to shell out $400. A different brand (like Makita) are half the cost of Festool tracks, or less.
