I looked at both and while the Cannon looks a bit more solid I did not like the internal hinge.
It's a smaller safe and made it cramped to access the right side, it's also about 2 inches less deep than the Winchester.
The Winchester claims 10.48 CU. FT.
With interior dimensions listed as 17x19x53.875" (L x W x H).
Based on interior dimensions, that's 17,402 CU. IN's or 10.07 CU.FT.
The Winchester is closer to the claimed volume and based on customer pictures, I think you could get 20 in there with a lot of intertwining (this also assumes you have minimal scopes and accessories while accepting scratches as they are going to happen).
Ideally you would put in a different shelf system similar to the cannon with grandpas keepsakes and such in the back row while leaving the toys up front.
The Cannon claims 14 CU.FT.
With interior dimensions listed as 13x20x55" (L x W x H).
Based on interior dimensions, that's 14,300CU. IN's or 8.275 CU.FT.
The Cannon is way under its claimed volume, but maybe someone's just entered the numbers wrong.
I think the Cannon has the better idea with the long gun layout.
Overall I would say the Winchester with some modifications is a better choice for the same money.
- Slightly higher fire rating.
- More interior room.
- Heavier (could be a negative for some)
Quality wise, I'm sure they are no different from each other. Looking at customer photos, they appear identical in material and stitching and are probably made in the same building.It is heavy the box says 350lbs but I was able to load it in my truck just fine with a worker and I was able to unload it by myself. I would recommend you get someone to help you unload it as it was a struggle by myself.
