Many TSA lines have the ID-scanning machines now, eliminating the need for presenting a boarding pass. All I have to do is present my ID to the TSA agent and go. No need for the Iris or fingerprint scan, and especially those unnecessary "random" ID checks!!

CLEAR is a perfect example of a wretched Corporate carcass that has intentionally complicated the security-theater process to enrich shareholders of their company.
I can't say here what their execs deserve.
I signed up for this promo for the Uber thing months ago, but that's the only value I've received from it. and would never pay out of pocket for this fecal matter if it wasn't reimbursed by Amex.
Is it always faster than Pre? No. Sometimes the lines are the same. But when it is faster, it's much faster. And you can always just go through the Pre line instead of the Clear line.
My last flight out of JFK's crowded Terminal 4, there was a massive line for regular security and for Pre but zero line for Clear with Pre. Last time I flew out of MIA, Clear allowed me to cut a really long security line and go straight to a dedicated Pre security line that took a few minutes tops.
So yeah, I like having it even if it's not always that much better. But I also got it for free from Amex.
What airports have you had this experience in? I wish more airports I used had clear, breeze through like nothing with clear at Ewr, Las, Mia. I'm waiting for them to pop up at my local airport
