I even tried devices they listed as eligible and those did not work as well. The optimity app that another user suggested worked though! You just have to "earn a few reward gems" through real quick questionnaires and then you're good to go

The Optimity app discount definitely works and literally took just a couple minutes to unlock by earning 200 points. Such a bitch move by Garmin to up the "sale" price on Black Friday. Assholes

worked for me thanks.

FYI you might have to sign out of your garmin account to get it to work. Even after optimity my price was still $400. Opened the link in incognito and got 359. Checked out as guest with a credit card and everything went through.

Got 120 Kohl cash
Bought 255 today for 180/-

Could have gotten another 955 for 280 or 965 for 430. But figured it's my first Garmin and I need something basic for triathlon so 255 would work best. Happy.

I, and a good number of others, are seeing that Garmin watches like Venu 2 Plus, 3, and others are not working with Google Assistant anymore. It's been going on for over a month and it seems to be related to newer versions of Google app, but the problem appears to be on Garmin's side. Some people were able to get it to work by rolling back the Google app but it's not a long-term solution.

The reason that I believe it is a Garmin issue is that other non-Google devices like earbuds are triggering Google Assistant just fine.

There are discussions on Reddit and on Garmin's forum, but no response from Garmin. The latest beta firmware has yet to resolve the problem.

YMMV, just FYI if you are buying for the Google Assistant feature.
