Nope. QD OLEDs (Samsung) are different from OLED (LG) panels. OLEDs have a white sub pixel layer where as QD OLEDs don't. QD OLEDs typically have better panel uniformity from my experience. LG OLEDs have an advantage when it comes to size because they can produce panel sizes up to 97" where as QD OLEDs are currently capped at 77". Lastly color brightness and vibrancy is much better on QD OLED as well.
It depends on use case. If you absolutely need Dolby Vision then I'd recommend you go with LG or Sony. The equivalent Sony QD OLED is way more expensive. The only LG OLED than can compete with QD OLED is the G series that's equipped with MLA Technology.

I'd go with the QD OLED unless you absolutely hate Samsung or you need Dolby Vision. Stay away from the S90C 83" because it doesn't use a QD OLED panel.
IMO... the 5 yr Costco Warranty is better than the 2 yr BB warranty. The 5 yr Costco warranty coverage is as follows: Yr 1 - Manufacturer, Yr 2 - Costco, Yrs 3-5 - Allstate. My 65" C1 (purchased @ Costco) developed burn-in during year 2 of the warranty, and I received a full refund through Costco Concierge. That's as good as the BB 2 yr warranty that covers burn-in, and then there's 3 more years of coverage through Allstate/Costco (though that 3 yrs does not cover burn-in).

This or S89C deal that just ended? I ordered mine w/ BB recently w/ 2yr warranty, would try to cancel. How's 5yr warranty w/ Costco, better?

Either way, smoking deal. Heavily debating switching my order..

EDIT: Went via Samsung website. EDU/EPP w/ 10% off chat (YMMV) and $100 off when you recycle a junk TV. $1538 pre-tax. If you need warranty, Costco is still way to go.

Looks like a good deal. I get confused so is this the one with 1 connect box?
Wonder what changes are rumored to be in the D version? Deciding since I don't particularly need another tv but could be persuaded at this price 😀

Is Burn in still an issue for OLEDs. My LGB6 took about 4-5 years before the burn in got pretty bad.

Yes... I sent Costco pics, and the service tech took the TV with him when he came to verify the burn-in. I also had a friend whose CX (also purchased from Costco) developed burn-in within the first two years and Costco had LG replace the panel for free. That's more of what I expected in my case, but I didn't say anything since I was getting a refund.

The best thing to do with OLEDs is constantly vary your content. Just make sure you aren't watching CNN all day or playing the same game for 1,000's of hours. I've been using my LG C1 77" since December 2021, and I haven't had any issues. I also have the S95B 65" and S95C 65". Both panels still look phenomenal. I have blackout issues with my One Connect Box from time to time, but that only happens when I'm using my gaming PC.

I have this TV for almost 1 yr now. Got it directly from Samsung when they had that crazy deal with the app discount and EPP stuff going on got it for around $1800 shipped. No issues so far. Got the two-year warranty from Samsung but at this rate won't need to use it. Upgraded from an LG g2 77". Can't tell the difference or if I'm missing Dolby vision at all. Just a great set if you can afford it and It's Costco.

If you buy directly from Samsung using EPP you can get it for $1799.99. I'm purchasing from Costco because the 5 year warranty beats the savings from Samsung Direct for my peace of mind.
