I live in Florida. Bought this last year around BF. Gave it to the wife on Xmas. Used it for a couple months (too late to return), and sold it on Facebook Marketplace.

Heres my take... I had one BedJet, and a King Size BedJet One-zone sheet. If you want individual control for two people, you need Two BedJets, and a two-zone sheet. I think having two bed jets running would be quite noisy, IMHO.

On high speed, the unit is quite loud. The fan adjusts in percent increments. Once it gets over 30% speed... it starts sounding loud to me.

Know that these units DO NOT COOL! They can heat the air, but they CAN NOT COOL the air. When you put it on COOL, it is just blowing room air over you. Whatever the temp & humidity is in your room, that's what the machine is blowing over you when you set it to "cool". Also, whatever heat the fan motor gives off is also added to whatever is blowing over you... So when you set to "cool", you get room air, plus fan motor heat... so probably a couple degrees warmer than room temp is what you're actually getting when it's set to "cold".

The unit does have internal heating coils, so it can actually heat the air... but here in Florida, we rarely need that. It would be nice if they made these with actual cooling, and not just room air.

My wife was looking for a solution for night sweats/hot flashes... I think the unit works well. Having air circulate around you UNDER THE COVERS makes it possible to sleep with the covers on in Florida.

However... this doesn't cool beneath you, so it wasn't working for my wife. So we sold it.

So really, this unit is just a glorified fan. My wife ended up finding a blanket on Amazon ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...=UTF8&th=1 ) that she raves about.

I thought it was all in her mind, until I tried it... This is a mesh type blanket that allows the breeze from our ceiling fan to pass right through... So even though it's hot Florida, I can have my covers and still be cool enough to sleep, without the noise and electricity use of the BedJet.

So we've found a solution that works for both of us.

Not a scam. It really is a game changer for comfort and sleep. I have 3 of them and they even sent me a new one when my dog chewed through the cord lol…

One tip, the plastic parts that keep the vent positioned next to your mattress are not the most durable, especially if you kick or move around while you sleep. I've woken up to snapped brackets on mine twice. Fortunately, there is a very healthy aftermarket of 3d printed parts on Ebay which are printed from heavy ABS plastic which is much more durable. They're cheap and I highly recommend them.

I use this in hot weather and it works great. The cloud sheet did not work for my queen size bed since I bought the single zone, it seems one machine might not be powerful enough for a queen size or up unless you turn it on high, which is much noisier compared at 50% load. At 50% load with a good sheet blanket works like a charm.

I sleep hot and have been looking at these since before they have more recently made their appearance (that i noticed) on slickdeals, a few years now.

And damn I'm an adult and I sleep hot........ and I do have Some Adult money to throw around but damn... 400$ for some cool air seems like an awful lot. I have not been able to get over that price. Maybe if I saw one and was able to try it in a store... because these SD comments/reviews are all very high praise...

I love my Bed Jet. Only downside is I'm somehow tripping the breaker when I use it on Heat mode. I haven't had the same issue when I run it on cool mode though.
Making heat requires significantly more energy than just a fan. It's similar to a space heater or hair dryer. Plug into an outlet on a different circuit, yours is probably overloaded.

I bought my first one last black friday. The wife thought it was gonna be garbage and didn't want anything to do with it. I ran it the first time and wouldn't you guess who was right over by me pushing my feet away from the airflow so she could have it. It resides in the middle of our bed and we invested in a second one in our camper. Summer use is eh...I really wish it could actively cool but the heat is divine.

These are all a scam. They have their people post fake reviews. Seems they are making their way here now.
I've had mine for about 5 years I'd say, I can't even remember not having it. Still use it every day, mostly on the fan setting.

I kick-started the 3, this thing is a game changer in cold climates. It preheats your sheets & blankets. It's like getting your bedding out of the dryer every time you go to bed.

I am able to keep my thermostat at 55 at night in Chicago in the dead of winter.

I had an old EightSleep cover (heat+sleep tracking only), and a few years ago I decided to try this since it was cheaper than the new (at the time) active cooling EightSleep. I've had my v3 for over 3 years now and am still quite happy with it. While it doesn't do active cooling (so not a replacement for AC), having constant air flowing over you definitely makes it feel cooler/prevents heat build up at least

It took a bit of fiddling to get a good setup for it to run overnight, but now I've got different modes that work great for me each season.

That's really the only thing I wasn't as big of a fan of - having to program it to run X minutes at Y temp, then repeat to cover a full night, and guess when I would want each temp change to happen overnight, since it's a bit of trial and error. It'd be awesome if they added some sort of sensor setup (might be tough in their cloud sheets since they sit above you, but maybe a mattress cover like Eight had with the sensors in it) to help regulate your temp more automatically

Google "eight sleep leaks" -- wow.
By design I would imaging its a common issue. Most sleep products that involve circulating and replacing water have issues like this because the design variables are designed by like a tech normie type engineer and not like a automotive engineer. They're using non industrial components that probably wont last like 10 years cause its not part of the design process to think about things like that. I also just dont want to go about replacing the water all the time cause it will stink up if left alone too long or dry up.

Friendly tip: Don't let your dog sleep next to the blower unit... or you'll learn very quickly when your dog has gas. Ha ha

Only thing worse is if you use a CPAP and the dog lets one rip right near the machine. Straight up pipeline from hell. Sick

Have you tried it in low power mode? (If the v3 is like the v2 it doesn't actually require a second unit to run on low power. Probably cuts the electric bill too.)

I'm a user for a few years. I have the V2 and am thinking about getting this one because I don't want to go without mine if it does break. I sleep hot and it has helped me a ton. I recommend it to many people because I slept so poorly before.
Am I even on Slickdeals right now? Buy a $400 appliance and put it in the closet because something might break someday...

I don't want to believe the guy you're replying to, but you're kind of making his case. What's slick about spending $400 on something you don't need? How would you convince that guy you're not a shill, and that spending $400 to have one of these sitting around in your closet is a really slick deal.

I'm here because my ChiliCube broke and the pump is impossible to get so I can't self repair. Never crossed my mind to stock up on them at $400 a piece.

I got one last year, but I had to return it. It made my feet super cold. I also kept kicking the vent. I'm sure their sheet system would have worked to mitigate the cold feet, but I'm 6'1" so I didn't really see a way around the kicking. Return was very easy though.
