I have an issue with sales tax.. I am ordering protein powder, but on my order page, it tries to charge me sales tax. Portein powder is considered food in Maryland
S at 15:58, Nov 22:
No sales tax should be charged

I am sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. Kindly note if your delivery address is outside of the United Kingdom, you may be subject to import duties and taxes including VAT, which are levied once a delivery reaches your destination country. Any such additional charges must be borne by you. Please note that customs policies and practices vary widely from country to country. We recommend that you contact your local customs office for information. Is there anything that I can assist you with?

Ok. thanks. have a good day/night, depending on where you are
I usually buy unflavored isolate from MP. However, my last bag had weird texture, it tasted chalky (or maybe I just spend too much time at the gym and everything tastes like chalk). I don't think they offer good quality protein imo. But again, maybe it was just a bad batch or something. I recently bought Isopure and quality was better. Of course, the price was not.

Does anyone know if they still illegally charge sales tax for shipments to NY? Myprotein is the only company that has charged me tax repeatedly over the years for protein powders. Even now their order page shows tax as:
"TAX*
$0.00
*Tax displayed at checkout is an estimate, final tax is generated on order dispatch"
I can't tell if that means the $80 is the actual amount they will charge me or if they'll tack on an extra amount for tax they shouldn't be collecting for NY.
If you include the 0.5lb more protein this is only $7/lb. You can also get 9% cb from other sites as well! Then pay with Chase Freedom via Paypal for another 5% multiplier on chase UR points.
Maybe BF would be better but this has to be pretty close to as cheap as possible.

They still collect it for WA state, even though it's considered food. E.g. Amazon doesn't collect sales tax on protein powders.
Quality of MP is WAY down! This company is taking nose dove as far as I am concerned.
Measuring the quality vs MP 3+ years ago, it is terrbile
Now I know they have deals, and this one is OK, but just saying the stuff they are putting out is terrible! If you could see my recent whey protein, and how YELLOW it is, and the low low quality, I am skeptical now

Good catch, thank you. Ordered some.

Cashback site has 4% and Chase has 5% if paying via PayPal.

technically it's $80 for 11 lbs + 0.6 lbs gift = 11.6 lbs
