I recall having a similar model before and the floating head was a pain in the ass. All the crevices created space for soap scum and water deposits to collect which were impossible to clean unless you regularly used the cleaning station (didn't wanna buy the carts or have it take up counterspace). The fixed head on the lower end models is easier to keep clean.

I have had a few Braun models over the years. Recently I have the series 9 from Costco, a first for me. Series 9, pay the extra.

It does. My old Series 7 came with the cleaning station too, but I didn't want to keep buying cleaning cartridges or have it take up space.

Its the same shaver with a flex head and accessories. Is that worth nearly $100 to you?

I bought the one from Costco when it was on sale last year, I don't really recommend it. The cleaning station that they provided takes a long time to clean and the blades were still kinda wet after a long time after the drying process inside the station. The blades itself, after less than a year, does not shave well anymore, like I have to press it down really hard to get a semi clean shave. I think I'm going to go back to Panasonic.
