Mainly need a trimmer. Already have Kobalt 80v mower and that system… trying to decide between this or Ego $229. This ones carbon fiber which sounds good for the lightweight feature. Kobalt has an 80v trimmer tool only for $170 with no battery. Or a combo for like !269. Crazy. Thoughts ?
Ego seems to be much better, albeit much more expensive.

Did anyone purchase the warranty on this? If so, how much was it?

This is a good deal, right? Like I'm sure I'll wish for a second battery when blowing leaves but the price seems solid.
I have like 4-5 batteries of 40v. U will probably need 2 as they last 20 minutes on a full charge.

This is good deal, but I have 4 80V Kobalt batteries and been waiting for deal at Lowes too. I just don't like adding another battery type and charger.

Bout this kit from DTO a while back and the trimmer, tho a single string does a better job edging than my old 40 greenworks. Bought the kit because of the sale they had it was not much more to get the edger and blower even tho I just needed the blower..
So the greenworks is in the shed.

I bought this for $120 last year with $15 fixed shipping from DTO. I also got the smaller 40V chainsaw and 4Ah battery. I've been happy with everything. Had the 18V blower, which can barely blow leaves on pavement. The blower does alright in short grass, but not in long grass. The weed eater is probably overly strong. I've used a variety of cordless weed eaters over the past 10 years. Craftsman, lost in a friend's house fire. The Black and Decker was a cheaper, I think a part fell out of the bottom that feeds the line, but it was still decent. Got another one right after that, because I still have a lot of batteries. I'm using it now. Mom got some Ryobi tools for some stuff she wanted, so I gave her a decent used 18V one. It's still good, but the one I replaced it with is extremely strong! The longer ones with the straight shaft are better and stronger than the cheapie ones.

I pulled the trigger now and will decide whether to keep it or not. There were only 2 left here in Melbourne (for delivery only 🤔). i was unsure if i wanted 20v vs 40v or what ecosystem I wanted to hitch my wagon too. The 40v batteries seem outrageously priced. I only hope they stay available for along time

Ryobi 40v system won me over on the grounds that it's only ecosystem that has an auger. I used that thing to dig 9 4 ft deep holes. no other system has that tool. Best 450 bucks I've ever spent.
