I use the G9 with a 5" backing pad and the 15mm Milwaukee m18, thinking about getting the G8 for smaller sections.
if your getting the G9 for your first polisher, pick up the 5 inch backing plate and then decide if you like the 5 or 6 inch size before you go and buy a bunch of pads

i only do a car a month or so, im no pro but i love both, the larger stroke on the m18 is hard to beat for cutting though, so theres that, i got the m18 on the last deal i think it was $189 , well worth it at that price, very well built and great if you are already invested in Milwaukee

I'd like to give some care to my 2009 coupe during slow time in December. Looking for a good starter set

Fantastic deal.
I know the G9 is much better, but the throw is very similar (8mm vs 9mm). Would I see much of an improvement?
