If you are already a Tracfone BYOD customer, can you "upgrade" to this phone by using the included Straight Talk SIM and the Tracfone website to activate?

Obviously, no additional airtime/minutes/text/data will be added to your Tracfone account.

does it mean that I can just upgrade to this phone if i already have an active number and service with tracfone? an annual prepaid plan from other phone devices with the annual plan included purchased before?

also, if i were to want to just use ST service for a bit less work instead of the cheaper tracfone monthly service, do i have to purchase a new sim or a new prepaid service pin/card from walmart or ST website? and if so, are those usually virtual or have to sent through physical pin/simcard?

The phone comes with a ST sim card, which is the same as TF sim card. The phone also has eSim service. This can't be used with VZ postpaid until unlocked. It can be used to upgrade your present TF phone.

The phone has all of Verizon's LTE and 5G bands except for millimeter wave

OP, thanks for the post, repped. It looks like if you want to activate anonymously, you need to go with the 15 dollar plan. The 10 dollar plan requires giving Tracfone your personal information, correct.

I think the $10 plan is for refills on existing lines. In the other ST/TF deals folks mentioned that the $15 is the cheapest one you can do a new activation. But someone with actual experience can confirm.

I was reading into this and saw Walmart reviews saying the $15 plan would not work on their cell phones? Can anyone confirm the $15 plan will activate the phone? Waiting for shipping but I ordered the phone with the plan of buying that $15 plan then waiting til unlock and switching it to my current service with Spectrum (I sure hope it actually works or I'll be trying to sell a phone lol)
