I am a small business owner. My printer broke two years ago and I could no longer find printers that took "off brand" ink. Bought this printer for my desk until I could find a new permanent replacement. Never did, this little thing does it all.

At our small office my partner and I use the hell out of it for daily documents. Twice a year I print sales sheets and flyers for our products. 150-200 copies of multiple documents. It was cheaper to blow through ink bottles than send the job to a local shop. Just feed it paper and done. We have run over 6000 pages through it last time we checked. Just have to burn ink every once in awhile to clean heads.

Easily get 1500 prints on full tanks at highest print settings. Ink is cheap to replace compared to the cartridge system. I have a 5000 series at my house but it does not scan, or work as nicely. I don't print at home very often, I tend to try to keep work at work. The only downside to these printers is if you do not use them often, the ink heads can dry up and you need to do a clean head procedure to reprime them.

Refills are cheap! $40 to refill all the tanks. I used to pay that just for one color cartridge that would only last a few months. Even with our heavy use, we only refill 2 times a year.

So today I saw this deal and pulled the trigger a couple times. Buying a new printer for my home office, another for my business partner and a third to replace the accounting printer that is on its last leg.

It is a very great printer. Other than when someone forgets to put the flap down when they add paper, no errors, easy to use, easy to copy or scan. I highly recommend this little workhorse.

I easily spend $100 a year on ink, and probably have spent well over $1k over the past 5 years alone.

Keep in mind the maintenance cartridge is NOT easily dealt with on these. Was leaning between this and the G3270 earlier this month and chose the latter (even if it has less features) because the user can replace the cartridge if needed.

I've used one of these for years printing 1000's of pages.
No issues. Only drawback is the screen is small and archaic, but you shouldn't need to use it much.
Many people I have recommended this to also love it.
