Of all my XR's, this is the only one I kept it non-XR as it does the job just fine with battery life that seems to be very good. Probably because it doesn't need a lot of torquing but I guess it depends on how often you use it. I did a lot of woodworking over the years and have cut plenty of hard to softwood and softer materials like PVC. Probably buy this and buy Spyder blades.
