This plus full price hose is about the same price.

Based on specs, this one is heavier at 16lb vs. 12lb of the other. CFM is nearly identical 107 this one, 110 other. same peak HP

This or the HD1640 16(?) gallon 5PHP for $60? The 16gal has 2.5" hose supposedly so less clogged hoses except it doesn't come w many accessories/attachments

all about use case. I have a 12gal already but find it cumbersome to pull out for things like car detailing, so looking for a smaller one. The 12 gal is great for big jobs.

Had this for 12 years and it's held up great. Survived 5 moves and I love how you can carry it like a tool box. Got the detailing kit too works great on the cars or around the garage/stairs.
