Oh yes you can. I have brought back a couple really dead batteries with this.
Good price on a good maintenance charger.
Your not going to charge a dead battery with this but that car or generator that sits a long time will fire fight up.
Most likely not. It might get a little bit more life on an old jumper pack battery but would you want to count on that jumper pack when you need it? Most likely you'd need to replace the internal SLA (Sealed Lead-Acid) battery in the jumper pack, which is not always easy to do, and you'll find that a quality replacement internal battery will often cost as much as just buying a new pack at HF or Costco or Sams or wherever.

Though using something like this regularly on a jumper pack MAY help prolong its life a bit.

I have one or two of these. It is a good little battery maintainer and is small and convenient. One negative (for me) is that since it is a "wall wart" plugging in directly to a wall outlet, it sometimes can't be plugged in to things like an outside receptacle with a cover, because the unit is bigger than the cover will let you get in to. So to us it on the outside outlet, I have to use a short extension cord and plug this in to the extension cord.

I think in previous years this has been down to $20 or so but this is still a decent price.

Will this work for repairing a harbor freight jumper pack battery? I sure hope so!

I was hoping to salvage the battery, not necessarily for emergency use in the jumper pack. I'm going to remain positive and hope it works.

I see what I did there 🤣

Are there any trickle charger that will fix lead acid batteries that are dead and sitting about a year?

I just had good luck with the NOCO genius10 doing that. It has a repair mode that brought back a battery in an old mower I had sitting for a few years. It's also on sale now for like 80 on Amazon.

No. Desulfators do not repair batteries. They only remove enough of the surface sulfate to allow some current to flow. Capacity and charge acceptance are still degraded. Replace the battery and buy a charger that will keep it from sulfating in first place.

I have had one of these for about 2.5 years. It's been running nonstop , and I rotate it between two motorcycles I have. Has worked flawlessly so far.

Bought it in June of 2021. This is what the order says:

Order Summary
Item(s) Subtotal: $29.95
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Lightning Deal: -$10.56
Prime Savings: -$10.00
Total before tax: $9.39
Estimated tax to be collected: $0.56
Grand Total: $9.95

I do not know what the "Prime Savings" was. Another discount or did I use cash back from the Prime credit card? Not sure.

This may be a silly question but can I charge this with the battery in the vehicle and the terminals connected to the car already? From the Amazon pictures, it shows the battery removed lol

Yes. That's what I do with my motorcycles. I bought some adapter cables which are hardwired to the battery terminals in the bike. It just plugs in on the bike and starts doing its thing. No need to disconnect anything.
