Promo description: Unlock the most powerful AI research assistant. Raise Perplexity to the next level with more Copilot, upgraded AI models (Claude 2, GPT4), unlimited file upload, and dedicated support.

Perplexity AI is offering 2 months of free subscription. Make sure to cancel on the first day of 2nd month in case you don't want to continue. This will let you use until the end of 2nd month. To continue, it's $20/month, at which point you can use ChatGPT itself. I have used this occasionally, and the speed at which it responds after web search is great.

ugh can this AI count? "The living wage in the United States is $25.02 per hour, or $104,077.70 per year in 2022"

AI's like this are LLMs which do not count but use word probability to answer questions. The calculation is based on a family of 4 with two working adults, which means $104,077.70, which is $25.02 (rounded) per hour for each adult with the assumption they work 52 weeks a year, 40 hours a week. My quibble would be this is unrealistic to be working 52 weeks a year 40 hours a week - due to holidays etc, most calculations would use 50 weeks a year of work. The source for the info is: https://livingwage.mit.edu/articl...calculator

Has anyone seen any reliable publications that have measured the accuracy rate of all AI platforms, including compare and contrast analysis?

I have found inaccuracies with Chat-GBT and Bard. In addition, there are certain products that indicted a biased response, like Google and Bitdefender.

There have been so many AI service deals this BF and they are all just wrappers on the popular LLMs...

Well take into account that full time workers also have at least one+ week of paid vacation plus sick time 🤓

The bigger issue is that it didn't even understand what "living wage" meant and instead fabricated an unrealistic answer and delivered it back in a confident manner.

On this particular question it made several errors before delivering a response that is basically useless nonsense.
