I had my Flexispot frame for about 6 years now.
installed with Ikea KARLBYCountertop, oak/veneer, 74x1 1/2 "

This setup cost me around 400 in total, compared to a pre-build 74-inch standing desk at around 800+

Just for reference.
The main display is a sony x900h 65inch TV
The 2 side panels are 2 Dell ultrasharp u2719d

I'm in. But I can't quite figure out the differences between the multiple E5 models w/inverted frames. ..... Ah...looks like keypad controllers.

I bought a Vari desk for around 500 on sale, and it's solid as a rock.

What are the downsides to these cheaper desks? Asking for a friend.

I believe this is only a single motor vs E5's dual motor, so it has less weight capacity and doesn't go as low compared to the dual motor models.

I have the Monoprice one which I believe is exactly the same as the E5. It's pretty wobbly. If I had to do it again I'd just pay more for one a better one. The motors aren't working right on mine either (REALLY slow and inconsistent going up) so I'm going to have to test Monoprice's warranty.

Seems this one is 3 stage that can go as low as 24 inch, and I think that's important for more sitting position choices.

Yep, that low height is pretty nice selling point. My current electric sit/stand desk - one I got years back on clearance from Staples @ $165 - only goes as low as ~29", making the height of the desktop around 30".

Matthias Wandel [youtube.com] on youtube has had pretty positive things to say about Flexispot stuff too (he's pretty thorough/scrutinizing).

These would make for decent 'worktop' legs too, being able to support almost 300 pounds.

Is it worth the extra $10 to go for the advanced keypad over the 4 preset keypad?

Need a wider frame damnit. Hoping this isn't the only one that goes on sale.

Wider than the ~5.6 ft it can do? You can have some overhang and fit a 6-7ft wide top on that...

Oh damn I misinterpreted I thought that was talking about what tabletop it could handle.
