I had my Flexispot frame for about 6 years now.
installed with Ikea KARLBYCountertop, oak/veneer, 74x1 1/2 "

This setup cost me around 400 in total, compared to a pre-build 74-inch standing desk at around 800+

Just for reference.
The main display is a sony x900h 65inch TV
The 2 side panels are 2 Dell ultrasharp u2719d

What's best place to buy wooden top? Got an IKEA one and it's pretty bad. Butcher block is too heavy for a desk top.

Buying one at homedepot and cutting it to your needs seems a better option but it's more work to stain and polish it.

FB Marketplace has people selling gently used to new in-box branded ops from $10-100 near me.

The difference between this deal (E-5A) vs the standard (E-5) is this will come with the 4-preset standard adjustment pad whilst the latter comes with the "Advanced" keypad. Not worth a ~$30-40 difference to me.

Stupid question but what's the benefits of this vs just buying a standing desk with everything included?

I am looking for a standing desk, I've seen several full desks in this price range or a little below. Is there some benefit to buying this frame and using my existing desktop instead of buying a complete standing desk?

This FlexiSpot is rated at 287 pounds vs the 176 of the one you linked. I've read the single motors are slower, louder and more complicated to assemble, but that might not always be true. These cheaper desks are usually rated pretty low for stability. The E5 is supposed to be a mid-tier frame with the E7 and E7 pro being their high-end.

In for 1. Thanks! Have a 60x30 desk from Home Depot I bought a couple years ago but it sits way too high fully retracted. Pretty sure I have neck pains because of it.
