Can this be stripped and put in a larger box?
OS is tied to the processor right?
RAM and HD could transfer over too.

I've never done anything like that, so that's why I'm curious.

It looks like a much better deal than a Dell etc when I'm looking for Windows Professional

Reisntall windows or install Linux if concerned, you will be good. Someone pointed that browser had a plugin which would do that, I dont believe anyone found OS level tracker. Still, reinstall would take care of that.

These are laptop parts. There is no reason at all to put them in a larger case. You can't upgrade anything except the memory and hard drive.

These are an amazing bargain for general office work, streaming, and internet browsing. They are not for things like media editing or drafting and design.

Reinstall with an image from Microsoft and not one generated by the PC.

I had never heard of beelink, but just took a look at their website, and there's not a single mini with an i7 level processor and these specs for cheaper than $285... What am I missing?

I bought the Walmart MSI for me, now I'm looking for something for the wife. This will handle basic web, docs and office apps, right?
Thanks

buyer beware
these cheap acemagic machines are filled with shady stuff

"After some investigating, I found that the Chrome default settings had been altered so that something called "naviwithus" was the actual search engine, and opening a new tab actually brought up something called "UpSearches" rather than Google. I did a quick Bing search and saw that UpSearches is flagged as a virus software. My repulsion at these settings turned to disgust when I found that attempting to change these defaults didn't do anything; the original defaults would just come back. I even uninstalled Google Chrome and reinstalled it, but the defaults remained. "
