For me it wasn't.. in returned it as it was very cheap feeling. This is one of those things if you have a Costco around you should go get their hand cart when it goes on sale for $100.. I know we are talking 4x the price but solid rubber tires, 4 in 1 design, super heavy duty, and lastly Costco to stand behind it. It's a buy once cry once kind of thing. I had two other before I bought the Costco and if for some reason I have to(which I've hauled some incredibly heavy things on it) I'll definitely buy the Costco again. It really is built for abuse.

This is a 'light duty' hand truck that people want to use as a heavy-duty.

If you are going to take 150 pound items up/down stairs, this product is not for you.

For occasional use to move stuff around on a flat surface, or to take things at about 1/2 it's lift rating up/down stairs, it's fine.
