It's not the newest brushless model but for most homeowners so what? I used one of these on the job for years until the chuck wore out. It's lightweight and the torque settings are ideal for real world applications as opposed to, for example, my 18V Milwaukee hammer drill that's always too much (until you need a hammer drill.) Highly recommend the drill version of this tool over the driver, far more practical.
