Just to note, they greatly benefit from doing 2 modifications.
1. Replace the stock ear pads with Prohear Gel pads. Substantial comfort difference!
Right now Amazon has a 2-pack set of the Prohear gel pads on a Black Friday discount of $22.39 for both sets. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BTY2T196
I had paid $16.00 for one set last year and that was on a heavily discounted price. This is even lower, at $11.20 per set and the 2nd set can be easily sold if not needed or kept as a backup.
2. Most of the cups on these muffs have a hollow interior (minus the electronics).
You can make them far more isolated from noise by snapping off the ear plates, and filling the entire hollow areas with sound deadening foam (or any soft compressible foam rubber).
There's YT videos on doing this, as well.

For such a situation, I keep simple earmuffs near our safe. Won't need to worry "noise cancelling". I also don't expect in such situation to actually worry about hearing loss in spite of my wife and kids.
