Especially after the iPad fiasco, they tightened up on their circle promo and applying it when not fully eligible.

Doubt a return and rebuy will work.

A lot of people got them but they sent notices to all the stores that circle can't be used for price matching and whatnot. So they put a stop pretty quick. they added signs to checkout also.

so whoever didn't get it right away on Sunday had to get really lucky with a rep that wasn't aware.

Bad idea. You need to read the exclusions under their price match guarantee! Your going to be stuck paying full price. Don't do this. It's also a daily deal "until supplies last" and doesn't fall under a price match.
