That link was kind of a useless editorial on this product but nonetheless thanks for sharing. They point to a lot of good reviews they deem as non compromised and conclude that you should just spend more to get a better tire…. I found that kind of perplexing. The main complaint from some reviews is tire noise.

Keep in mind running shoes don't have minimum safety requirements by law like tires.
Tires always feel like an improvement since you're usually replacing a worn tire.
I have these on a 2015 Toyota Sienna. So far they have been just fine. No issues.

They ride smoothly and quietly.

They have thousands of good reviews.

I would recommend.

To each their own, but would you wear compromised shoes when you go for a run?

So are these any good? I hear mixed reviews from Goodyear and the usual "they're good for one year." πŸ˜‚

Bought these from walmart black friday in 2021 that came with free mount/balance.
They have been just fine so far. Don't drive as much but thought about getting another 4 but don't want them sitting around and rotting. Probably have a few more years left.

According to that article these were the 1:1 update for the "VIVA" tires, which I know GY sold *millions* of through Walmart. I'd say they're probably a safer bet for a daily driver than cheap no-name imports. Somehow it seems the people with the highest expectations always get these types of bargain tires for their lexus/mercedes/whatever and expect them to be better than the michelins/pirellis they replaced.

note: Walmart isn't the best when it comes to checking speed ratings and load index against OE tires when installing; double check the load/speed against OE and not just the size.

Just installed a set of 4 of these Reliant tires of 225/50/R18 size at local walmart for $100 each + installation fee. Initial impression is that these drives better than the previous Michelin Primacy Tour tires on the same car. My 2 cents.

No where in that horribly researched/sourced "article" does it state anything but good things about those tires. Of course, the authors entire piece is sourced via....... about 15 reviews he found on the Walmart website. No exaggeration.

normally there is no reason to buy cheap or budget tires. Considering you pay the same installation fee, investing in higher-quality tires that last longer may offset the cost in the long run.

If you've previously owned higher-quality tires, you'd likely avoid budget options due to safety concerns - budget tires often lack the grip of better ones.

The only reason for budget tires is if you're on a tight budget and running with bald tires, as even budget tires are safer than driving with bald ones.

Goodyears did ok on my crv in the winter. I switched to snow tires year round cause I barely drive now though. But whatever Goodyear tire I used was great for an all season.

These are priced into the Chinese tire territory which I've had pretty good luck with on a commuter. But may pick up a set of these to see how they are.

I also got these at the same time for my Prius. One developed a bulge on the side. I'm not sure if it's from a pothole. Other than that they've been great. I never rotated these tires. I've gotten a lot of cheap tires and these are the first where I haven't gotten random flats. I ordered 2 for $52 each.
