I don't think I regret buying a UDM Pro, but it was expensive.
But seriously, this discount thing rarely happens. I have UDM pro since the early access days and it has been treating me well.
I was hoping for the access points goes on sale as I need 1 more but I think if that happens, that would be early signs of WW3.

1) Wi-Fi is too far away, they put my BGW in the garage in the farthest corner of the house. That's the worst place to put a Wi-Fi access point. I instead routed an Ethernet connection to another separate AP in the center of my home on the second floor and it covers my whole 2000sqft house perfectly. Reaches all my IP Cameras on the exterior of the house too. I turned off the BGW Wi-Fi to reduce interference on the airwaves. You might want to also do a channel scan to see if your Wi-Fi is on a crowded channel.
2) Something on your network is taking all the bandwidth. If you can, eliminate everything except 1 client device for a day to see if you still see the issue. If it's stable, slowly add more devices until you start seeing the disconnect issues. You can narrow down the problem by process of elimination.
3) It's entirely possible there's something wrong on the ISP side or something wrong with the BGW so it doesn't hurt to check with AT&T on it. The Smart Home Manager mobile app gives you some info on the BGW connection health.

My system has been solid since 2015. Shortly after I first installed it, I forgot my password--this was before they had a forgot password function. Since I had no issues with the system, I never bothered to reset it for 5yrs (2020) until the little USG started giving me issues. Wasn't really the best time for having issues with everyone working from home in 2020.
Troubleshooting led me to replacing the USB memory stick within it and with that, I finally decided to reset the entire system since I didn't know my password. Did all the updates, installed a cloud key, created a new account, and again solid since then.
Last year, I installed a TP-Link Deco WiFi6 system at my sister's house and it has been solid for them for a year now. If I had access to simple mesh systems like that back in 2015, I probably wouldn't have this system. But now that I'm in it, it's going to be very difficult to leave Unifi after knowing the full capabilities and features afforded to the end user.
Was originally planning on getting a UDM SE. But now I could do a UDM Pro and grab an enterprise 8 POE for a net cost of $259 more than just the SE.
And then have 8 full POE+ ports (vs 2 on the SE) and have 2.5gb as well. 2,000sqft single floor. Will have 10gb fiber internet. Would allow me to take advantage of the 2.5gb uplink on the AP (either now, or in the future)
What would you do? Stick with SE and U6 Pros now and upgrade to 2.5gb switch and 2.5gb APs down the road?
Its not for the faint of heart, must be good with ssh and linux commands, and you have to hack certs out of your BGW. And since they removed containers in unifi OS there's no great way to do it that survives firmware updates.
