Does this deal require any other purchases to get the doorbell installed and working properly such as a chime, install accessories, etc?

You don't even need the Echo Show.

I just use the Ring app on my smartphone.

This seems to be the going rate for the BF deals, with the bonus being the Echo Show. Do you need to buy a Chime for the doorbell to work or any other accessories? This model is older. Are there any huge differences in the V4 model? Some times the updates are negligible , which would make this deal sweet

I don't know about any of the newer versions.

I don't use mine as a doorbell. If my smartphone's wifi is on and someone presses the doorbell, the app will alert me. Perhaps the chime lets you hear the doorbell without needing the app.

I believe so. I don't always have my phone on or with me for that matter, so a chime is necessary for others in the home. I'll sit on this to see what other comments there are. We are in need of a camera doorbell. We have a security camera, but it wold be nice to have the doorbell

You could use the Echo Show as well as the smartphone. The Echo Show has a speaker. That's probably why they have this package.

I noticed the chime also helps conserve battery life and obviously helps with signal. Using a ribg video doorbell 2 bought in 2017-2018 but didn't install until trcently. No chime connected and just vonnected to wifi the battery would drain around a week and was too weak signal to be connected. With chime pro I still somewhat laggy and weak signal during live view but recorded motions are fine and no disconnects. Might need a new router or change placement. Battery life, 100% on 11/8 and now 73% on 11/26. At this pace, maybe next charge in couple months. Although not the 6-12 months of battery life that ring claims

I have a 2nd battery that I swap in when the app tells me the battery is down to 20%.

Battery charging speed is also a bit slow.

Old news, but seller was not able to fulfill. Refunded after claim opened with CC company when they didn't ship after 2 weeks.

Purchased this with store pickup successfully thanks for the deal. Maybe I'm an outlier, but on my 3 plus I get about a month and a half/2 months on a charge, maybe just over a month in the winter. No chime, but great WiFi. Highly recommend you look into upgrading that!
