There are car shoes yes. And yes there are boat shoes. I'm not sure where you live but Uber driving shoes are clearly sandles.

I would consider this the same as riding in work boots. Depends on what level of risk you're willing to take. Some lady hit me on the freeway and I was in A* SMX-3's and my feet still got banged up. So now I just stick to riding in my full race boots.

I like the casual look just not sure the level of protection with those compared to Sidis I normally wear... need to do some research.

Also, can you wear Dainese if you don't ride the Duck?? Asking for a friend... jk.

Ankle support for if you crash so your ankle doesnt cave in.
Leather and Synthetic material that has much higher friction resistance in case you fall off. Road rash aint no joke.
Reinforced toes so it doesnt wear out while shifting with your foot.

Others have lower leg support/high tops, shank in the bottom to prevent fold back injuries, etc. Motorcycles are open air and have high injury risk in an accident that you dont need in cars.

Are these comfortable as everyday shoes? They look cool and unique but I don't ride a motorcycle. Would want to wear them as casual shoes/sneakers with jeans.
