DO NOT BUY! I picked up a similar pack of these and over half the batteries started leaking just sitting in the remotes, etc within months of installation.

They weren't even expired.

I typically buy these every year around this time and I've never had a leaky battery. I feel like they were less expensive in years past maybe at Home Depot closer to or after Xmas?

They've been great for things like remotes, game controllers, and kiddo toys.

Edit:

Yes, I bought these exact 60 packs at Home Depot for 7.88 each. BUT that was December 1, 2021. Don't know if they'll have anything like that again this year.

Totally agree. These are garbage. Cool dry place my A$$. Might as well have left them in the sun in a hot car. Both packs of 60 from last year are trash because of the leaking. Don't buy these

I think they sell the 4-packs at Dollar Tree.
Never had these leak.

I don't think these outlast the more pricier brand names.

I understand that inflation kicked in last year but this is not a "hot" deal. I was purchasing 48 packs of both AA and AAA batteries from both HD and Lowes for significantly less than this ... combined.

Otherwise, like others have stated ... I can confirm that a large (30% or more) of these batteries leak acid. DO NOT leave them for long in any battery-operated device lest they leak acid into the internals.

F these batteries. They all leak and cost you a stupid amount of time cleaning up after them and fixing corrosion. Absolute garbage. Give them to your enemies.

Stay away as far as you can. high energy fusion leak like crazy. Maybe it was not a bad brand some time ago but I have about 70% of what I purchased in last 4 years leaking.
This company is now owned by Energizer and guess what?? Energizer Max is now the same junk almost as bad.
From what I was told batteries manufactured in Poland plant are the problem not sure how to identify but there is some number or combination of numbers and letters on each battery

Interesting. I still have couple dozens of duracells purchased 16 years ago in my basement only one or two out of 50 or so batteries leaked. I used about a dozen duracells recently which were manufacturered around 2014 no leaks while rayovac and energizers purchased within the last 4 years leaked like crazy in the same devices

If anyone has an Ingles grocery store nearby, they have the 4 count packs of Rayovac batteries for $1.25 each (4 for $5). You can buy just 1 pack to get the price.

So which brand do you recommend today? I had almost zero issues with duracells but some people here say they now leak too. it looks like all Rayovac I have issues with manufactured in Poland.
Are batteries coming from different plants different from one another? If so which plants are better?

another question - I was told by Rayovac rep if one battery in a sealed pack leaks I should throw away the whole pack since they all will weak soon. Is that 100% accurate?

For now I've sworn off Duracell and have been using Kirkland (Costco's store brand), Insignia (BestBuy store brand) and, when I can find them on sale, Energizer Max with good luck so far. But ask me again in a year.

I've had a similar experience with these batteries. Leaked in several of my electronics. Never again.

Same here. I still have 4 packs from last year and about 10-12 batteries per pack have leaked.
