Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

I have used Tmobile home internet for over a year now. I live in Yorba Linda, Orange county area. We got constant 200mbs speed when compared with spectrum. I signed up when it was only 25$ a month.
I'm not too far from you, do you game? If so, how's the latency?

Once again, T-mobile treating old customers like old shoes ....

i've been using t-mobile family plan for over 10 years, so i logged in and entered home my address, it shows 3 plans: 150gb for $75 / month, 200gb for $100 / month, 300gb for $150 / month.... the url has selectedhintplan=HILT150TE at the end.

When i removed "selectedhintplan=HILT150TE" from url, it shows regular price $50
Old customers are nothing to them.

I have T-Mobile Internet and it tends to get outrageously slow from 4 to 7. Otherwise, it works great especially for 30 a month. You do get a 14 day trial. Try out before cancelling with your provider.
I agreed. I just recently cancel Tmobile 5g internet service after 3 months. For the first two months the speed was around 200+. However the speed drops significantly where we cannot do anything. I called them and they acknowledged the slowness and said "there's no plan to fix". If you're working from home and need consistent speed I would recommend a backup internet plan

Simple Choice plan holder and I am only seeing options for $75, $100 & $150 with various data caps. Anyone successful with SimpleChoice plans getting this deal?

I'm showing 35$ per month (55 with a 20 dollar discount). On a Simple Choice plan. Would I be able to get 30$ per month if I switched to paying by a checking account? Or is simple choice just more expensive?

Can I use my own router along with the Tmobile home internet modem?

100% no problem?

Thanks.
Yes, you can plug your router into their modem.

Am I to understand that you cannot use a vpn with this? I have been told this twice.
I had trouble with my work VPN and tmobile's router, but when I plugged my own router into tmobile's router it worked fine.

You need to set up autopay by checking or debit to get the $5 autopay discount. You can still pay in advance of the autopay processing by credit card if youd like.If I remember correctly, I wasn't able to get the autopay discount until the second month.

I just picked up the 5G home internet to try it out here;
  • I can get only a "weak" signal (at the closest corner of the house to their tower), and the speeds have varied so far from 16-93 down and 6-13 up
  • The router's web interface has no configuration ability, only a status page
  • The mobile app is required to do any configuration on the router, and offers only limited configuration abilities; there's no option for static dhcp assignments, nor firewall rules/configuration etc
  • It seems to change its IP address frequently, or at least, much more frequently than I am accustomed to; my cable modem would change its IP maybe once or twice a year; this router seems to change its IP at least every time I plug it in (which I've done several times to test locations); I haven't tested to see if it changes IP while staying plugged in
  • The tmobile website won't recognize my email address as a customer, so I haven't yet been able to create a login on the website. I'm still waiting to hear back from techsupport about that.
  • The autopay discount requires using a debit card or a direct bank account ACH transfer; credit cards don't quality (ie if you use a credit card for autopay, you don't get the autopay discount). Apparently this is a relatively recent change, from what I goggled.

When I was checking out, the TM site said that it would only work at my home address. Is there a workaround if I wanted to take it on the road in my airstream?

Is the voice line mandatory to be eligible for the TV promo?
