Just ordered. I have the service already in Los Angeles for $40 a month - and it works great! A T-Mobile rep said I could get this deal for $30 a month with the TV. All I have to do is add a new home internet line and once I get the new modem/router then I suspend my old $40 a month home internet line for 90 days, which costs $10 to suspend. Then, after the 90 days, I can cancel my old line. But that locks me into $30 a month for life with this new line of home internet service and I get the TV! Hope that helps others who already have this internet service.

I have tmobile home internet because I can't get fiber/cable where I live. If you live out in the country like me, its amazing sompared to the other options. I regularly get 300mbps down. It also regularly slows down significantly, sometimes under 20mbps, and the tmobile unit regularly crashes and has to be restarted. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who has access to cable/fiber at their address unless they already have a tmobile cell line and really need that $30 rate over reliable internet. The issue isn't average overall speed, its reliability of both the hardware and speed at a particular time. Also there are weird quirks like it gives me an IP address a thousand miles away.

3) Use the promo code 230170
Are you sure it's 230170 and not 230173?
This is a targeted promo I think everyone isn't eligible for it.

Just sick I didn't see this sooner and now not available in my area.
I hope they keep internet deals available for all lines and not just the high priced lines. First time I've ever seen that.

I had it earlier this year and cancelled in May, now my address is not eligible apparently. I had it price locked at $50, thought $30 was more worth it.
Same here. Wonder if our areas are at capacity now.

That's correct. In order to receive inbound connections, you need a PUBLIC IP. It doesn't need to be a STATIC public IP, it can be a DYNAMIC public IP.
Oh gotcha thanks.

With CGNAT you generally have no public IP right?

Anyone know if a new T-Mobile customer can get this deal without adding a phone to T-mobile?

NAT devices (and CGNAT by extension) are PRIVATE IP... Not public IP.

With NAT, you can typically circumvent with Port forwarding on your external public IP, within your home router.

But with CGNAT, you have no port control of the external public IP, as it is outside of your house.

It all has to do with where the boundary of your network is... Where the demarcation line is drawn. You have a boat, but the lake is on your neighbors property.

Do you get a confirmation for filling out the promotion? I filled it out but didn't get anything and wondering if I should do it again. Lol

T Mo rep said this code has expired. Current offer is $50 rebate. It appears some users were able to enter this promo code without error.

Anyone knows if this would combine with the Friends and Family Insider 20% off discount?

Thank you. Encouraged by your informative comments, I also used this promo to get a new $30/mo home internet service with the intention to suspend then cancel my existing home internet ($40/mo).

Adding a data point. I have One plan military and was able to order for 30$.. currently paying 50$..

How long is it taking others to get the line number so we can submit the promo for the tv?

Not sure. I just found it online and the request went through. Probably won't get it

Is there a play here to sign up, get TV, and then cancel?
