Just FYI, there's a bank of america credit card promotion/sale where you can get targeted lenovo deals (search SD for this). I was able to get this configuration for $945. YMMV. Combine with other CB strategies for a decent deal.

I was looking hard into X1C (gen 6/7 or 11) and ThinkPads, until I came across an eBay refurbished Z13 Ryzen 7 6860z - 16gb RAM for 629.99 on eBay - Z16 with RX 6500M for 699 - i just didnt want the 16. But check out the tech, specs, screen, and battery life versus the X1C and even the T14 Gen3.

You're comparing cheap, heavy gaming laptops to a premium build quality, ultra-light business machines. Different market entirely.

What's cheap about them ? Take an omen 17.3 13700hx with a 4080 for comparison (a competitive price for that would be around 14-1500)

This is business class laptop supporting enterprise management features, you can't compare it to gaming laptop. Yes it runs windows on intel but that's where similarities end.
