More importantly the new "N4 Pro" uses the newer Sony Starvis 2 sensor which has significantly better day and night resolution than ALL OTHER dashcams and is DEFINITELY worth paying $100 more for that one on Amazon right now. The extra $100 to get significantly better and longer range license plate readability is 100% worth it, especially when it saves you from someone filing a fraud insurance claim against you, or when someone hits you and runs at night where any other dashcam including the standard N4 may not be able to read the plate but this new N4 Pro will be able to see it, and from farther away. At night a 1st gen Starvis sensor can only see plates a few car lengths away, but the Starvis2 sensor can read them from about 50% farther away making your chance of catching the offending party much greater which is worth a lot more than $100 in my opinion. Thats why I upgraded from the N4 which I've used for 2 years, to the N4 Pro, and the biggest difference in performance is definitely the night resolution quality which was totally worth it even though I paid $399 for it the first week it was released. It is $280 right now on Amazon. There are a couple YouTube videos showing the most expensive $500 BlackVue dashcam and a VanTrue N4 in day and night driving to show the N4 can read plates slightly farther away, and also a video showing the N4 and the N4 Pro side-by-side showing how much farther the Pro version can read plates both day and especially night. After seeing real world side-by-side video proof of both I was confident the N4 Pro was the best choice and I was right. I recommend everyone get the N4 Pro since it has significantly better plate reading ability at night, even if it was still $400.

I've been using this camera with it mounted to my windshield nearly 24/7/365 in the Florida heat without issue nor failure of the electronics. I had an issue with the suction cup after quite some time and I reached out to ask about replacing the suction cup. The opted to replace the entire GPS unit instead. While shipping transit took a while, they were quite helpful and did so once they verified my order and it arrived today.
All in all, I'm very happy with the camera and the quality of the video it provides. Them standing behind the product is a huge bonus which is often rare these days.

Then don't buy this camera. Follow me for more advise. 👍
I don't have this particular dashcam but I have used Samsung and SanDisk high endurance cards on prior dashcams and I have never had a problem.
