I ordered one $100 Carls Jr gift card. It shows $51.50 with $50 off and $1.50 shipping fee. Once I clicked purchase button, the total amount in the confirmation became $101.5 for a $100 gift card! There is no discount at all. and I saw the $101.5 pending transaction in my credit card account. It's my first and only purchase.

I called the gift card customer support, the representative oversea first told me that promotion starts from 11/28 so I am not eligible, that's why I was charged for full price. I told him that the black Friday promotion on the website states valid from 11/24 to 11/27. After a few minutes on hold, he told me that when i use the card i will receive at Carls Jr store, I will receive item 50% off there. wtf. I told him just cancel my order and refund me. He said he could not cancel the order, the only thing he can do is create a ticket for his management team, my order cancellation still upon management approval.

What a mess.

This company is so suspect, i'd have concerns about funds magically disappearing later down the road even if initially shipped with correct amounts. And then @LVNeptune along with numerous yelp/Google reviews indicate cards sometimes don't even work at the retailer. Glad I disputed with cc before xmas and it wasn't about me being impatient at all. I don't trust buyatab.

I was thinking the same exact thing, some crooked third party in who knows where that probably runs their business like this would have no issue selling your info down the line.

I got suckered into this because of the whole "well its thru the official website".
will just have to pay attention to the Credit Card.

Welp, they refunded my money 12/21 like I asked (no chargeback required) and today I see a scheduled delivery from Carl's Jr. . Wonder if it will have zero balance…..
