If you add the motor to this one, I find that it will always fail in some fashion after the 5th iteration. I suspect the elevator mechanism is largely to blame, because of the force it generates when it free falls. In contrast, the original one can be left running continuously all day. I have lights for both.

I have original coaster, and it gets stuck all the time with cars slowing halfway down. What's your secret?
I guess periodic maintenance to make sure all the legos are firmly attached?
Because the loop coaster moves around quite a bit more, the pieces loosen a lot faster, which is again why I suspect it fails faster.

Once I get this one working, it goes fine for months. Then someone bumps the table, and I have to redo it. It's a combo of the weight, where the shaft attaches, the angle, etc. It's a pain
