What's the difference between the SE and non-SE version of this cooler?

SE is the stripped down version. SE pump block is non-RGB. The non-SE also has more socket support:
LGA2011 / LGA2011-3 / LGA2066 / sTR4 / sTRX4 / sWRX8

I just built my 1st PC with a i9-12900k. I was cheap and got Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 for the cooler. Now that I see how cheap AIOs are I kind of want to upgrade it. Would this be a better option? I ran Cinebench and I was getting temps in the 80s however, some of the cores got to 100 and began throttling. I got a score of 26,000 for the multi core test and 1,900 for the single core test. Which seems close to the scores I found online.

How much of a PIA is it to replace the cooler and do you need to remove the backplate? I have a lancool 3 case and I think I have full access to the backplate thru the side panel so I don't think I need to remove the board from the case. I don't have any current noise issues.

They arent too bad for beginners. This should cool you down to the 60s under load. Hitting 100c is an issue. Either thermal paste is no good and needs redone, or you dont have proper cooling from the thermalright.

I just bought the ls720 version (3 fans) for 74 this past week. I researched a buttload, and this is a reputable brand. Reason its cheaper is because they are their own supplier instead of third partying pumps. For 75 dollars for a decent aio, i pushed the buy instead of waiting for the 220 dollar one i wanted to go on sale. Id pull the trigger on this, it will help your temps.

I wouldn't recommend this cooler, unless you keep in mind that the fans will need replacing.

I bought it for same price on Black Friday and the two radiator fans make a nasty, low pitched humming sound at certain RPMs. Apparently this is a common issue and not a defect....the fans are just garbage. Not to mention they no longer have vibration dampers, so it's just straight plastic to metal on the radiator.

I had to order some Gentle Typhoon fans as a replacement. Definitely would not have gone with DeepCool, if I knew this earlier. Oh and according to the comments above, the SE is non RGB for the pump? Very dissapointing.
