As per Notebookcheck.net review, the panel being used here is Innolux N156HMA-GA1 and the max brightness actually goes around 288 nits. Due to matte nature of it, it is good enough for indoor usage and even suitable for outdoor, under shade.
Grabbed one of these. Was looking for a QHD screen+ rtx 4070 + i9 + 32 ram to hit this price but at this point I don't think it's gonna happen. Since I used it mostly with external monitor I can lower my expectations with the screen and Prob add 2x16 ram.

I'd love to know how the thermals are in gaming..? -I haven't seen a TUF with 4070 reviewed yet, although from the pictures it looks like a good cooling setup.

I think the 4070 is probably the best choice for performance+thermals+power. Reviews of desktop cards show excellent perf/watt so seems like a no brainer for a gaming laptop.

The screen is the only thing scaring me in this deal.

For RTX 4070, you can refer to the RTX 4060 thermals as all the 4000 series mobile cards below 4080, maxed out to 100W due to Nvidia's voltage limitation. So, thermal will be similar to the 4060 version of this laptop.
