I got a Japan model from woot a few months ago. No issues with it in the states yet. Not checked to see what region the games are as they have all worked (all first party Nintendo games)

Keep in mind Japanese Nintendo switches don't support all of the same wifi bands we use here in the states. It will work, but quality and reliability will vary

I just ordered a oled model from switch. Did yours specify that it was a Japan model or did you realize once it showed up?
