If you need a 4k monitor then this is not the one.

It's hard to go apples to apples.

This is OLED and it's a wider aspect ratio. You're giving up height and getting width. But this is an OLED panel - deeper blacks and better contrast/color representation, generally, than a similar LED.

4k is higher resolution and will improve some things - but you'll be able to run this monitor at a higher refresh rate and that will improve motion and perception of quality. 4K is hard for most graphics cards to push.

FWIW, I had the Samsung G7 4K monitor and returned it and replaced with this. I much prefer this from a picture quality standpoint.

That was a pretty slick deal. The CB site cash was not at the original 18% but at least at 15% right now so I jumped on it. My Amex offer was 120 off 599. That was what put me over the edge on this deal. That and my wife did "appropriate" my LG of similar size and resolution so I had a great excuse to buy this one. Hard to resist at about $650 all in.

I did go for the 5 year warranty as definitely a chance of burn-in and the AW does cover that.

Like you, I need to figure out what to spend the promo card on.

I'm torn on buying this. Just got a 42" C3 as my first oled as i needed a tv anyhow. Got an amex card to get a dell offer but never received one. Currently have a (2015) predator X34. With 240hz 34" 21:9's coming next year with hdmi2.1 along with 32" curved and none curved 4K monitors, I'm tempted to wait and see.

Lucky you on the 120 offer. I figured out a way to use the $100 plus apparently $25 worth of points if you signed up for dell rewards. I have a friend's wedding coming up so I'll probably give them a digital photo frame that I found.

But as a side note, has anyone had their cashback posted on Rasputin? Rasputin is usually really quick (hours) to spot an order and temporarily put money in your account. It hasn't done that with my Dell order. I ordered days ago.
