i would but it would be a waste of my time to do so. just passing by and offering my opinion.
So you are comparing this laptop to a unicorn or bigfoot? Holding it to a standard that doesn't exist?
Quote :
250nits for a $1k laptop is a joke, for $500 is not a deal.
What laptop is $1000? Another fantastical comparison?

$500 is a deal for the other specs that are far more important to those of us who don't base our perception of a 3 digit number on the cardboard box. Nits is a completely useless number that is rated differently manufacturer to manufacturer. Buy a Chromebook if that is the only spec that matters to you.

this is probably their corner cutting budget laptop produced exclusively for black friday.
i7, 16gb of ram, backlit keyboard, pretty much the best integrated GPU available? "cOrNeR cUtTiNg"

Tell us you don't know what you are talking about without telling us you don't know what you are talking about.

But post a better deal, your yardstick, one you don't have the time to address but plenty of time to argue Wink

you can find walmart brand laptops with better build quality and similar specs for $300 every now and then.
Prove it, make sure it is a i7 with 16gb of ram Wink

youtube this laptop, the body is made out of plastic and flex like a yoga instructor. this is probably the worse laptop anyone can get for $500.
You aren't getting a titanium laptop for $300. You have BMW wishlist on a Ford Fiesta budget.

no one except casuals would buy this for $500.
"Casuals" that think nits claims set the price LMAO2

Glad you are happy with your 800 nits Celeron or gen 7 i3. I guess that is the most important thing.

do i sound like a child that will jump through hoops to seek validation or approval?
A child who would claim to have something better that doesn't exist (at this price point) because they are upset at this inanimate object and when asked to prove their claims then he throws a tantrum in distraction.

Imagine, you could have proved your claim 10 over at this point but keep just snapping back with vague defections because it is too much work. πŸ˜‚

The silliness of drawing a line in the sand then refusing to stand by sand line your entire goalpost is based on.

i'm sure any grown adult would be able to make their own decision and research whether this is worth the asking price.
Grown adults base decisions on reality, not champagne tastes on a Natural Light Budget.

i'm guilty of having high standards and expectation, and i stand by my words as this is one of the worse laptop for this price. deal with it.
Nothing wrong with having high expectations and standards, but the expecting to find that laptop at Five Below is not realistic. Sounds like you know that but won't admit it. I'll take your lack of evidence as a concession and also I'll gift you the last word.

The fact that you said it's a waste of time to post links, yet here you are, posting and replying to everyone without actual facts to back it up. Seems like you're seeking validation for sure and just want to make yourself feel better ig

I think this is a good deal IMO. With that much memory and speed, if there's a better deal out there for $500 (or less) someone should post it, otherwise this is gonna be the wife's Christmas present.

EDIT: Anyone know how long this price is good for?

Honestly I wish they were right, would be a fantastic deal yet is more fantastical. What next, this mythological $500 machine is also going to be a touch screen i9 with 4070, 32gb ram, and 2tb SSd and 1000 nits 8K OLED display? High standards and expectations πŸ˜‚
