That would be Verizon or T-Mobile. Since they charge only $25 a month on a monthly plan, the saving is only $50 over a year or $4.16 a month. Does not seem to be much of a slick deal.

It's a fair assessment, but Verizon is the only carrier that works for me. Plus, US Mobile doesn't throttle the speed like Visible. I have been with USMobile for exactly 1 year now and the experience is super. Additional $50 saving is a plus for me.

Thanks for the catch, yes its T-mo, fixed. US mobile is already one of the lowest cost MVNO so you'll not see giant savings over their normal rates. Compare $250/yr 30GB to Slickdeals to fav Red Pocket whose normal price of $360 25GB was on sale LY for $300.

Agreed.

I think I would rather do their promotion and get $50 back in a gift card per line up to 2 lines deal.

Essentially the same deal $250 for 12 months but

1) Don't have to prepay a year
2) Get 12 months plus 50 days of service for $250

No international data with the unlimited starter plan. You need the unlimited premium plan ($50/month) for 10gb/month international data.

I've been using the service for a year now. I used the pooled plan for my family on the Verizon service and its been great. In my area t mobile is pretty kind of awful so switching to US mobile has been pretty cool. My biggest issue was that with some phones you have to set up the apn to use their service which can be a hassle for some.

Mvno is better for one or two lines - especially if you don't need to buy a phone. Family plans are always better on the post paid carriers.
Not necessarily. I have 4 unlimited lines for $100 taxed per month. It also includes 2 free monthly perks, which I selected Disney and Netflix. I switched from TMo and am quit happy with their services.

They do throttle if you go over the data threshold and it becomes unusable
I've been with US Mobile for a few months now and just experienced their throttling for the first time. It's completely ridiculous. A simple webpge takes 45 seconds to load on my phone. I was trying to stream AUDIO and it was freezing and buffering like crazy. Unusable is right.

Do they throttle it down to unusable speeds all the time or just when the network is congested?
When you haven't gone over your high speed data allotment, the service is fine. But God help you if you run out. Because when they say they throttle, they mean it. You'll be sitting there waiting for a webpage to load shaking your head.

If you're ok with using 30gb-50gb of data per month us mobile is the best mvno out there imo. They also let you stream in 720 unlike other mvnos. For heavy data users I would not recommend but another trick is when you're in 5GUW areas (Verizon) it will not count against your data cap.

Mint(Tmo) and USM(Verizon or Tmo) all varies on your location. If you get good VZ coverage in your area I'd go USM

According to Visible, they don't throttle the data. You get low priority when the network is congested. I can't imagine that not being the same for US Mobile.

No free data internationally. But, I can tell you for a fact that the free international data from T-Mobile is barely usable.
