That would be Verizon or T-Mobile. Since they charge only $25 a month on a monthly plan, the saving is only $50 over a year or $4.16 a month. Does not seem to be much of a slick deal.

It's a fair assessment, but Verizon is the only carrier that works for me. Plus, US Mobile doesn't throttle the speed like Visible. I have been with USMobile for exactly 1 year now and the experience is super. Additional $50 saving is a plus for me.

Thanks for the catch, yes its T-mo, fixed. US mobile is already one of the lowest cost MVNO so you'll not see giant savings over their normal rates. Compare $250/yr 30GB to Slickdeals to fav Red Pocket whose normal price of $360 25GB was on sale LY for $300.

I've been on US Mobile for a year. I've used pretty much every MVNO and the speed, price, ease of use, and customer service with US Mobile are great. Even the mobile app is surprisingly well designed. I'm going to port my wife and kids over to them.

Everyone normal I talk to is financing phones and paying $200/month or more just for cellular for their family. It's bonkers. Just buy some Pixels on sale and get an MVNO.

I use data copiously, and only hit 8-12 GB. I don't know how you guys are going over 30 GB. Binging TV on the job, anyone? Lol

I have great service but Verizon blankets this area.

Only one minor caveat: there's a small area in the big city nearby where 5G seems to lose connection if I'm there. I suspect maybe congestion? If I switch my phone to "LTE Only" it goes back to instantly fast speeds. Honestly I'm not sure if there's any benefit to leaving 5G on anywhere else I go, but I do.

As always your mileage may vary depending on what towers you live near.

What is the process to port number from a different carrier (currently post paid)? Should i purchase the plan and then chat with an agent prior to activating it?

+1 for US mobile

I was on visible for a few years and had no issue. I moved house and found that visible wasn't great at the new zip code. I ran a few e sim free trials for a couple of days to see what speeds I could get. I found T mobile eSIM free trial was the best. I then selected US Mobile GSM eSIM which is the T mobile option on their network. No issues so far- great customer service vs visible.

Just a reminder that at check out at the final stage it will ask you which option you want.

GSM - T mobile network
Warp - Verizon

Pricing is the same between GSM/warp. GSM lets you do international calls to many countries for free including European countries. Warp is getting that feature soon per the site.

A lot of false info in this thread.

Unlimited starter plan only has 20GB of data, after 20GB, speed will be reduced. See terms below

https://www.usmobile.com/terms

Not saying this is a bad deal. Just be aware that you are not getting unlimited data
Is this 20gig per month or per year?

20 GB per month per their terms and conditions below.

On Unlimited Starter, the small share of heavy data users using more than 20 GB of data may be throttled to slower speeds for the remainder of their billing cycle.

Didn't give me an option. I already bought annual plans for two lines.
When I go to order details it does mention "WARP". Does that confirm I have the Verizon sim coming to me? thanks

That is the old plan. Current Unlimited Starter is 30GB per month, throttled to 1mbpbs after, I however have seen up to 29mbps on C band after using all my allotted data.

You're misunderstanding me.

The deal people are talking about here is $250 for 12 months.

I see another deal on the same page which would be:

50 days free + $100 prepaid card.
so.....
Regular price is $25 so $25 x 12 = $300 - $100 prepaid card = $200 for 12 months + 50 days.

Or am i missing something here?
Just signed my elderly parent on us mobile in San Antonio, TX on verizone network with esim. The $50 prepaid card is after one year of service (they are on the 2 or 3gb a month at $10 a month including all taxes and fees - my mom's monthly data use for 2.5 years was 300 mb Smilie The other $50 gift card is only if you add another line so the $100 prepaid card is not as clear as it should be (I gave my dad an old google pixel so he could get his first smartphone at 89 Smilie so they will get the full $100 prepaid cards in a year

1. You want to make sure the date of activation is the date you want to cancel the old post paid plan (switch time usually is within a few hours).
2. Activate the new plan and you will need a port out pin. To get the pin, you WILL have to call your current provider.

Since you are new user, you will need early access code from existing user. Check your PM and I have sent you the code.

That's it. 🙂
