Is it only 4k when you are just using the front cam? It looks like it's 1080p when you are using front/rear together, or am I mistaken?

Yes, 4k front and 1080p rear. All dual camera systems are like that. Only way to get 4k front and back is to get another 4k dashcam and use a USB splitter and longer cable. They would record independently.

Or a more expensive milri channel 4k capable NVR box connected to separate cameras. There are YouTube videos of a 4 channel box with cameras on all 4 sides but you won't get those fancy 360 above view video like OEMa have
