Sell my 75" 900E and get this? 🤔
I can't find any that have sold recently on eBay, but there's one listed for $550 so maybe list that as your price. I'm having a hard time selling my A80J 65". I wonder if I'd have better luck if I listed it on eBay for local pickup only. You could always move it to another room. Good luck if you try to sell your TV so you can upgrade.

I am not tech savvy.... I am looking for 80-85" TV. Ready to pay around 2k$. Any suggestions would be helpful.

Looks like the x90k is a better TV.

Edit: I compared the u7 not u7k. my mistake. u7k is rated better.
Not only better but the Sony is much more likely to last you a long time.

FOR THE PRICE, this is an extremely good deal. This isn't a normal piece of crap black friday TV. It's a mid range Sony (from last year). So yeah there are much better TVs (OLEDs and other high end LCD/LED sets) but this is an unbeatable price for a good 75". $1,100 or so would still be a decent deal for it.

Interesting that companies like Hisense and TCL have become such players, they rate better than Sony. Love the competition

This or the Hisense U7K? Same price for both
Hisense as a manufacturer sucks. I used to be a big proponent of cheap TVs and I have a 2015 M series Vizio that has been perfect. But even the newer Vizios and newer cheaper TVs are trash. I had a Hisense 58 inch R6 that didn't even make it 2.5 years. I have moderate TV fixing and soldering skills and when I took the unit apart it the screen backlighting was held together by cheap electrical tape and the power supply fell apart. Sony build quality is better.

When they work, but Rtings doesn't measure that for really anything but OLED. If you tear any Hisense/TCL apart compared to the mid to higher end LG/Samsungs the quality of the parts in the Sony is better by far.

What's the brightness like? I'm not coming from a mini led TV, so anything brighter then a cheap 5yo tcl will be an improvement. It's hard to gauge brightness when compared to other mini led tvs and not older tvs.
